This week is the last week of G.I.S.H.W.H.E.S also known as the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen. At least the last week how we know it, which is very sad to me. This week is one where we can connect with a community all over the world, and feel inspired by the many creative people that we never truly see.

Because most of us are introverts.

It is a time when the inner child can come through, or the artist that just doesn’t feel inspired by a mundane life. There are many different things that are put onto the scavenger hunt: From asking people a silly question on how they brush their teeth to creating a wedding dress out of paper. It really brings you out of your shell and helps you understand what you can truly do.  While donating to charity.

That’s why it’s sad that it’s ending this year. I don’t know what they are going to do to make it different, or if they are going to bring it back at all…I just know that when I do it I feel like I can do anything. That there are people who won’t judge me, and that it doesn’t matter if they do.

It makes me see that the world doesn’t always have to be serious. That an adult should be silly and that just opening a door for a person can boost their day. That there are a lot more ‘crazy’ people out there than we expect. Normal is wanting to do something different and unique, but never really knowing what to do.

G.I.S.H.W.H.E.S brings out that need to be creative. It brings out that drive and motivates us to do something crazy for a week. I wish that there were yearly events throughout the year, because I really need that motivation in my life.

Maybe I should just learn from G.I.S.H.W.H.E.S and do something different, unique and creative once a week…it might help.
